I’ve been working on a lot of character related stuff, feels good to have something to show for the six years I’ve been brewing these concepts up for. I’ll launch my comic website as soon as I have enough pages to carry me a while, and there’ll be lots of concept tidbits to share there when I get around to it too.
WIP- Apocalypse Please
Here’s two videos containing timelapses! Part 1 is the underpainting and part 2 are the colours. I figure it’s more effective than showing WIP pictures (and it’s much more fun.) It took three and a half hours, and as per usual I used photoshop CS4 and a graphics tablet.

WIP- A Warm Place
Some concept art for the world I made up- long overdue. I need to draw more landscapes. Drawing them is relaxing, and it feels more natural than figure painting to me (I always thought I had the opposite problem.)
I’m happy with how it came out considering it’s my first real attempt. If you have any critique, please, let me know- I want to get better.

Duality
Look in my face, just reflections of yourself.
The unfinished underpainting of this had been lying around for a week or two, I decided since my inspiration came back I’d finish it. I wanted to keep it simple- partially out of lazyness, and partially because I feel it would smother the intended emotional impact if I didn’t.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and interpretations!

Gabriel got a redesign. This isn’t solid yet, though, it likely still needs tweaking.
I’m not too pleased considering the time I spent on it, and I was trying so hard to improve. I did this to practise lighting, perspective and anatomy; the things I fail the most at…and because Gabe’s old design didn’t look frightening enough for what he is.
Photoshop CS4 + graphics tablet. Around about eleven hours. I used a chinese water deer skull as a reference, and myself, for some parts.
WIP- Pray
Something I drew to try and spark my inspiration; it has been a long time since I have finished a painting.
It’s my undead priest wearing what is based off the tier equivalent of Season 2 (I forget what tier it actually was.) I miss the design aspects in Burning Crusade, the outfits and weapon designs really inspired me. Also, I saw this painting * and realized I wasn’t going to get that good by sitting on my butt being unmotivated to create.
I finish TAFE in two days, so I’ll have a lot of extra time to draw- I hope I can utilize it.
